CRAFTWORK:
YARN aND SHEEP; FURNITURE

PRODUCTS

  • Remotework: accommodation and inspiration
  • Craftwork: yarn and sheep; furniture
  • Bodywork: massage and therapy

We grow Kihnu native sheep on our farm mainly for joy. The animals have their own striped “sheep hotel” and a life free of worries. It is a lot of fun when they are sheared: they hop around like puppies and have trouble recognising each other at first. The wool of the Kihnu native sheep is double-layered and very soft. It has been cleaned and sorted by us, and later carded and spun into yarn in the historic Süvahavva wool factory.

Undyed yarn

We offer natural undyed sheep yarn in black, white and two shades of grey. The yarn of Kihnu native sheep is well suited for knitting socks, scarves, gloves and hats as well as vests, sweaters and other items. It also makes a beautiful gift, bringing the warmth of wool to grandmothers as well as young knitters!

You can buy yarn by kilogram. You can come to pick it up yourself or we can conveniently send it to your nearest parcel machine. The price of raw unwashed yarn is EUR 35 per kg plus shipping. We are also happy to ship our goods abroad. Please contact us prior to placing your order about the exact shipping fees to your country.

Sheepskin, fleeces and purebred Kihnu native sheep

We also offer sheepskin in various colours and fleeces made from sheared wool. Fleeces look like sheepskin and can be used as decorative rugs, on sofas or as warm seating covers, but also for other purposes. As the quantity of our sheepskins and woollen fleeces is always limited, please ask about these separately if you are interested.

If you would like to purchase purebred Kihnu native sheep from our small breeding herd, we will certainly reach an agreement on this as well. We offer pedigreed Kihnu native sheep ewes entered in the herd book as well as rams with pedigree certificate.

Furniture

Sometimes we also make handcrafted furniture such as the items in our Haani Creative Hut (see the photo gallery at the bottom of the “Remotework: accommodation and inspiration” subpage). Our son Joosep skilfully makes beds of different widths, shelves, cupboard doors, tables, benches etc. Please contact us with your request and we are happy to help if we can!
